MTN Elite One (Cameroon)

The Cameroon MTN ELITE ONE CHAMPIONSHIP (also known as MTN Elite One  since 2007 for sponsorship reasons) is the top division of association football in Cameroon, governed by Cameroon Football Federation (FECAFOOT)  and managed by Ligue de Football Professionnel du Cameroun since its establishment in 1961.


The 2022/2023 MTN Elite One Championship will be played in two pools/groups, of 11 teams (Pool A) and 11 teams (Pool B). A total of 22 teams are taking part in the competition.

At the end of the group stage of the Championship, the clubs ranked 1st and 2nd in each group will compete in one-way cross matches as follows: 1st A vs 2nd B: 1st B vs 2nd A. The respective winners of these matches will play a final which will consecrate the Champion of Cameroon. The losers will face each other in a match that will establish the classification of 3rd and 4th.

At the end of the season, the clubs classified in the last 02 places will be relegated to the Elite Two Championship.
