Opinionated Post – This is why i think the Intermediate Lions of Cameroon coach, Saidou Alioum will be a good coach
Just coming from an extended highlight of the intermediate Lions of Cameroon 1-0 win over DR Congo in the on going CHAN 2023 and I can confirm that they are well coached than the indomitable lions of Cameroon.
The core of football tactics and its evolution is to give all players a function, which makes a difference is in the quality of players.
At a certain moment in the game, the intermediate Lions of Cameroon had just like 2 clearances in 20 mins(?). That is Mad.
The idea behind modern tactics is often to force the opponent into having players with no function. Shifting and isolating in defense to “de-activate” the far-side opponents. Switching sides to activate them again. Pinning 2-3 defenders with 1 striker.
I saw the above so often in the game.
This is why i can conclude Alioum Saidou is a good coach and will be a very good coach if given the opportunity.
