Cameroon giants Coton Sport FC have come out to clear transfer speculation surrounding Orlando Pirates-linked Marou Souaibou.
For the passed three days, the World Cup-bound striker and Cameroon Ballon D’or winner 2022 has been linked with the South African Premier Soccer League giants, but Coton Sport FC have indicated those rumours were not true.
Reports from various sources indicated that the striker will sign a three-year deal worth $200,000 plus add-ons offered by the Soweto giants in the winter transfer window.

Marou Souaibou’s contract with the Garoua-based club is said to expire in June 2023.
On the Coton Sport FC twitter handle, the club posted: “Souaibou Marou, player of Coton Sport, has been the subject of several interest for a few months, but to date, he has not signed any contract with another club”
“Happy World Cup to him and the Indomitable Lions.”

The 21-year-old Coton Sport FC striker made his Indomitable Lions of Cameroon debut in a 1-1 friendly against Jamaica that was played on November 9. Marou Souaibou has also made appearance for the Cameroon Intermediate Lions.
