Tactical View

Rigobert Song’s team does not have a structure off the ball, players keep struggling in transitional situations. It shows that Song likes his men to have the ball but the tactics doesn’t instruct them to know how to use it to cause harm to the opposition.

I have to be honest, I wasn’t positive about his appointment and the team’s performances leave less to be desired.

I don’t know for sure but he [Rigobert Song] wants Cameroon to be a possession base side that creates chances from the wings (similar to to former Cameroon coach Antonio Conceçao’s tactics) but he is facing similar difficulties to Antonio Conceçao who’s team was easy to counter press against though its been worst under Rigobert Song. This team is flat in the final third which wasn’t the case with Antonio Conceçao’s team.
