Over the years, Cameroon has produced some very great players which has helped her secure Major African and world trophies like the AFCON and Olympic gold medal. Because football is a game consisting of goalkeepers, defenders, midfielders and forwards, this article will be laying emphasis on the most creative midfielders to ever play for the Cameroon National team.

We all know that a midfield in football is consist of defensive midfielders, central midfielders also called left and right midfielders or attacking midfielders.
Although the majority of Cameroon midfielders who have been know worldwide as they made their mark in Europe have been defensive midfielders like Alexandre Song, Marc-Vivien Foé, Stephane Mbia, Zambo Anguissa who plays double pivot defensive role etc, the Cameroon national team has seen some really great creative midfielders over the years.

We know that our ranking will have major criticism due to lack of statistical data to back up our rankings. But also, as far back as the 1990’s, there was little or no data collection scheme. As such our rankings are based on eye witnesses.
Also, like I always say in our analytical articles, statistics does not explain the whole story, it is just meant to help coaches, tacticians get the better of their players.
This is why some people still think Casemiro of Real Madrid is better than Busquet of Barcelona.
