MTN Elite One Match day 1: Here is why Tonnerre Kalara (TKC) was absent for their Opening match day fixture against Union Sportive of Douala
According to a press release from the Yaoundé base club, the current President of Tonnerre Kalara club blames the former president of the club for the absence of players
The press release goes by;

“This Sunday, March 20, 2022, we noted the absence of all TONNERRE KALARA CLUB players who previously missed the day before at the call from the MEUMI PALACE hotel since Saturday, March 19, 2022 afternoon. After careful investigations we were informed that all the Ngoumou players were sequestered by former President ESSOMBA MANY (Director of the Ngoumou Hospital) and ATANGANA OMGBA Martin in the RIBAO hostel located behind the Ngoumou hospital.

The current President General of the TONNERRE KALARA CLUB dissociates himself from all his abuses against the image of Cameroonian football in general and against the TONNERRE KALARA CLUB (TKC) in particular. The TKC reserves the right to use the full force of the law to eradicate any practices that would damage the image of Cameroonian football.
The President General calls on all players in Cameroonian football: players, managerial staff to respect the Republic of Cameroon and the governing bodies of Cameroonian football.”
