Top 10 Highest Scoring Cameroon Footballers this Season Abroad: The List only include those playing top division football.
With Pressure mounting on everyone including the players as AFCON 2021 to be played in 2022 approaches, the need for players to impress their national team coach rises. With Cameroon to host the AFCON 2021, which Cameroon footballer will not want to represent his nation and show his worth?
We have seen many Cameroon football players impress this season abroad compared to the 2019/20 season where most of them bare scored 5 goals all season.
Lets take a look at the top 10 highest scoring Cameroon footballers scorers this season abroad;
1- Jean-Pierre Nsame (19 Goals) – Young Boys, Switzerland
For the second straight season, Jean-Pierre Nsame has emerged as the highest goal scorer of the Swiss Super League. In all competitions, he has 26 goals and 11 assist to his name.
However, this term, his season was cut short few weeks ago with an injury that would keep him out for 4 to 6 months as doctors recommended he undergo surgery.

2- Vincent Aboubakar (15 Goals) – Besiktas, Turkey
Even after playing just 26 games, Vincent Aboubakar managed to hit 15 goals.
In all competitions, he managed 16 goals and 5 assist. Rumours surround that, Aboubakar demands €3.5 Million to stay at Besiktas or could move to a rival team.
3- Karl Toko Ekambi (14 Goals) – Lyon, France
If we conclude that Lyon’s season was a success, it was thanks to Karl Toko and Memphis Depay.
Toko marshaled the frontline so well that he’s made his mark at Lyon as constant starter. He’s played both as winger and a striker.
Scoring 14 goals in a single season in the Europe’s top five leagues is not easy for most Africans but of there is one man to do it, it can only be Karl Toko.

A name you haven’t heard of right? He is already 31 and has just two caps for Cameroon.
5- Joel Tague (9 Goals) – Maritimo, Portugal
Starting only 9 out of 16 games, Tague still managed 9 goals. Not bad for a side that was struggling and fighting relagation.
6- Didier Lamkel Ze (8 Goals) – Royal Antwerp, Belgium
What a player as versatile as he is. Lamkel Ze plays as a forward, attaching midfielder, midfielder, winger. And he still managed to be in this list, Isn’t that great? He managed to score 10 and provide 4 assist in all competitions this season.
7- Ignatius Ganago (7 Goals) – RC Lens, France
The 22 years old Cameroon forward keeps improving season-in-season-out. He also has 4 assist to his name.
8- Stephane Bahoken (6 Goals) – Angers, France
Bakoken was fundamental to the poor Angers side that finished 13th in the league. He also has 2 assist to his name.
9-Marius Noubissi (4 Goals) – Beerschot, Belgium, Serge Tabekou (4 Goals) – Royal Excel Mouscron , Belgium, Njie Clinton (4 Goals), Dynamo Moscow, Russia
Many names scored four.
10- Maxim Choupo-Moting (3) – Bayern Munich, Germany
After making 22 appearance for Bayern in the league and playing just 810 total minutes while mostly coming from the bench, Choupo-Moting still managed 3 goals. The presence of Robert Lewandowski means he has to start from the bench.
The Cameroon captain however showed his class in the Campions league scoring 4 goals in 7 appearances.
After playing just 1313 minutes in all competitions, Choupo scored 9 goals and provided 1 assist.
