Why are football supporters so unloyal? Why do they criticize their clubs, hypocritical, complaining about the result without watching the match with our own eyes?
We often complain that there’s a lack of ‘fun’ football, especially in La Liga. We complain about pragmatism, conservatism, risk-aversion. But when sides like Coudet’s Celta Vigo, Real Sociedad or Huesca emerge with fun filled football like we have seen in the past few games, we don’t praise them because most tend to judge on results.
How could one expect result to fade away when it remains the main barometer when judging one match, one team, one season? Is this not being hypocritical, complaining about the result without watching the match with our own eyes?
It seems like the one is preached, but the contrary is done. An iteration, an insistence on philosophy(ies), ideas cannot match a result-based analysis. Where we don’t have to be either on one side or the other, we should review how we watch and evaluate matches

Is the match “dull” and “boring” because of what the scoresheet says. Is it that 0-0 draws are always boring, or even 1-2 losses because the stats say so?
Have we not lost ourselves, have we not lost the essence of what watching football really means?
This is not aimed at anything in particuliar, not at anyone. But too often we praise sides that get results – and there’s nothing wrong with it. But more attention should be given to innovation, risk-taking and staying true to interesting sides
Our perception should not change because Real Sociedad lose against Atlético Madrid, or that Chelsea lost to Arsenal or that Huesca ends up in the Segunda, or that Barcelona lost to Celta Vigo, or anything similar. It is worrying that many feel results have to confirm that one side has been an amazing team to enjoy. Our eyes have been lost.
