Gambia’s Scorpion have qualified for the Total Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) for the first time ever after a slim 1-0 victory over Angola
For the first time in their history, Gambia has qualified for the AFCON 2021 to be hosted in Cameroon next year.
The match which was played in Banjul on Thursday in Gambia was a tight one as both teams struggled to find the back of the net.
The victory sees Gambia move to 10 points with one round of matches left.

Assan Ceesay scored the lone goal for Gambia in the 62nd minute to give the Gambians the vital victory and another feather to their footballing caps after the performance of their Under-20 team in Mauritania.
