Egypt and Al Ahly legend Ibrahim Hassan slams Al Ahly head coach Sir Pitso Mosimane after the South African trashed Al Ittihad Alexandria 4-0.
Egypt Legend Ibrahim Hassan has take an aim at Pitso Mosimane after beating Ittihad of Alexandria by 4-0 on Monday.
Pitso Mosimane returned to the dugout for the first time since recovering from Covid-19 to help the 2019-2020 treble winners secure their third consecutive league game win.
With assistant coach Cavin Johnson overseeing two league wins in his Pitso’s absence, Pitso Mosimane’s return concluded with a dominant display.
Mahmoud Kahraba, Hussein El-Shahat, Mohamed Sherif, and Akram Tawfik found the back of the net as the former Mamelodi Sundowns manager inflicted a second defeat on Ittihad since his arrival in Egypt.
However Ibrahim Hassan, who serves as assistant coach to his twin brother, Hossam Hassan for Al Ittihad Alexandria, refused to accept the defeat graciously on Monday night.
“If Hareth [Al Ahly’s kit man] took charge, he will win trophies,” the 14-times Egyptian Premier league winner said.
“If we [Hossam and Ibrahim] took charge of Al Ahly we will win trophies.
If Pitso Mosimane coach any other team in the league, he will get sacked after two games, Hassan continued.
“Al Ahly wasn’t good against us in the Egypt Cup nor in their last games nor in the CAF Champions League.”
The Red Devils of Cairo have won 13 games and drawn one across all competitions since the arrival of the two-time CAF Champions League-winning manager.
It should be noted that Sir Pitso Mosimane help the Cairo base club, Al Ahly win both Egypt Premier League and the Egyptian cup as well as the CAF Champions League within his first 3 months in charge of the club last season.
